We make slowly,
on purpose.
Mr XCA started in 2024 in a small studio in Manchester. We wanted to make the pieces we couldn't find — heavyweight cottons, considered cuts, garments that looked better after a hundred wears than the first one.
Every garment is cut and sewn in Porto by a small team we've worked with since the beginning. Our fabrics come from mills we've visited in person — a 200-year-old loomhouse in Yamanashi, a wool spinner in Biella, an organic cotton co-op in northern Portugal.
We make in small runs — fewer than two hundred of most pieces. When they're sold, they're sold. We'd rather restock the right thing than push the wrong one.
